WORK Informational Sessions for Community Agencies

• People who are eligible for the Physical Disability (PD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), or the Developmental Disability (DD) waivers, or are on the waiting lists for these waivers, or who have a disability that would make them eligible for one of these waivers, and who are eligible for the Kansas Medicaid Buy-In program, Working Healthy, are eligible to enroll in WORK.

• We want community agencies to have information about this program and to be able to make decisions about becoming a provider of service.

Working Healthy staff will be traveling to various regions throughout the state to provide information about WORK to community agencies and we are extending an invitation to share this information with your staff. Your staff that works directly with consumers in case management positions (Independent Living Counselors, Service Coordinators, etc.) would benefit the most from this information. We have a presentation and then will facilitate questions and discussion about this new opportunity.

Below you will find a list with the date, time, and location of the various presentations offered by Working Healthy staff. We hope you will take advantage of these presentation times and that it will help staff in your agency to better understand this new state plan service.

In order to determine how many people may attend at each location, we would appreciate if you would email the Benefits Specialist in your area or Sherri Marney at sherri.marney@khpa.ks.gov or call at (785) 296-8009, to let us know the number of staff who may be attending the presentations, and if there is a need for accommodation or accessible materials.

We are requesting ILC’s to please share this information with all of their Satellite Offices and CDDO’s to share this information with their Affiliate Agencies.
